The latest PEGCC Performance update now includes CepreX for US Buyouts. The Private Equity Growth Capital Council (PEGCC) just released the Q2 2015 2015 Performance Update Report, analyzing returns for US Buyout funds.
The CepreX North American PE Index shows the private equity benchmark returns for the past year were outstanding at 15.2% and continue a positive trend for the industry driven by strong economic conditions and markets in the US. The PEGCC report also shows Private Equity outperforms public markets on a 10-year time-frame by 5.8 percent.
The CepreX Private Equity Index provides both fund and deal based indices for true comparison to public markets. The index can be compiled based on client specific requirements to encompass any subset of 36,000 private equity funds and deals. This is the only private equity index that can measure sub-segments of private markets by industry sector, country and stage.
Index sub-segments include Buyout, Growth, Debt, Venture, Infrastructure; Industrials, Consumer, Healthcare, Energy, Technology, Financials; North America, Europe, Asia, Emerging Markets and any combinations thereof.
